We now provide four types of RAPID Testing With Reports Available Within One Hour
NAAT Gene-based Molecular Testing (Nuclear Acid Amplification Tests) – now quicker, more precise, but more expensive
PCR Testing – Performed on Cepheid GeneXpert Xpress with results within 35 minutes (rather than 1-4 days)
NEAR Testing – Performed on Abbott ID Now with results in 10-15 minutes.
Protein-based Testing – usually quicker, more readily available
Antigen Testing – using a Lateral Flow Device (LFD) with results within 10-15 minutes
Antibody Testing
Antibodies can be detected using a Lateral Flow Device (LFD) with results within 10-15 minutes to see if you have developed immunity after an infection or vaccination with results in 10-15 minutes
We can perform four kinds of rapid diagnostic COVID-19 tests – two molecular gene-based tests (PCR & NEAR), protein-based Antigen testing and a rapid antibody test. Direct viral tests are used by providers to diagnose people with or without symptoms related to COVID-19. Either a simple rapid antigen test or a molecular test can be obtained. Sometimes both a gene and protein test are used, depending on the circumstances. Specimen samples are taken from the patient’s nose or throat. Rapid Antigen are ideal for athletic programs, school events and family visits. PCR and NEAR tests are more precise and confirmatory in nature when needed.
If you test positive for COVID-19, our clinical staff will walk you through the next steps. Depending on your symptoms, you might be advised to self-isolate at home or go to the emergency room if necessary. We will check in with you daily to monitor your progress.
Antibody tests check your blood by looking for antibodies, which may tell you if you had a past infection with the virus or confirm that you have been vaccinated.
Book your appointment easily online through our website. Same-day appointments are available.
We typically utilize a drive through testing procedure. Simply follow the signs, drive up and get swabbed. Alternatively, testing can be accomplished inside the clinic during a regular appointment. Our clinicians will take your samples, and evaluate your symptoms, and answer any questions.
